T-Rex Sweater — Colorwork & Intarsia Crewneck

I designed this sweater because I thought it would look delightful and fashionable for an adult woman to wear a dinosaur-themed sweater. I chose a chic color scheme and lightweight knit fabric so that it can be worn for a casual or dressy event. The dinosaur is cute and interesting to knit, and the sweater is sure to put you in a good mood when you wear it.

T-Rex Sweater is a simple crewneck with a colorwork motif. The back, front, and sleeves are all worked flat from the bottom-up. The lettering and T-Rex motif are worked using a combination of stranded colorwork for the lettering and intarsia for the dinosaur. The shoulders are shaped using short rows, then joined using a 3-needle bind-off. The neckband is picked up and knit from the neckline and worked in 2x2 ribbing. Lastly the sleeves are sewn to the body. Pattern instructions are in text; the Colorwork Pattern is charted.
